Target audience:

The training is intended for airline cabin crew. The training is in accordance with IATA DGR – section 1.5 and in accordance with feature 7.9 in IATA Dangerous Goods Training Guidance.

The training was previously known as the DG training Category 11 Cabin Crew.

The main topics covered during this course are:

  • the basic concepts of the transport of hazardous substances by air;
  • recognizing hazardous substances (tags and labelling);
  • identifying prohibited and hidden dangerous goods;
  • applying the rules of the airport and the airline(s) when accepting luggage from passengers and crew;
  • Basic rules for the carriage of cargo and baggage on board an aircraft.
  • Reporting accidents involving hazardous substances and undeclared hazardous substances.

Duration of the training:

  • Average 1.5 hours

Admission requirements: this course has no admission requirements, other than a reasonable command of the Dutch language.

The price for this training is €95 excl. VAT per person. After successfully completing the training, the student will receive a certificate.

Validity period: 24 months.

This training was developed by PMT and based on the training requirements of the ICAO Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air and the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.

PMT is a training and examination institute recognized by the Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management and the International Air Transport Association (IATA). PMT is also certified by IATA as a CBTA provider.
