Airport Security

Passengers who board an aircraft are first subjected to an extensive security screening. A security scan is used to determine whether the passenger is carrying any prohibited items, but hand baggage and hold baggage are also thoroughly checked.

Aircraft security and cabin search

Airlines are jointly responsible for implementing various security measures. These include, for example, access control, aircraft observation, security of hold baggage/cargo and searching the aircraft cabin for prohibited goods.

Explosive detection dogs (EDD)

PMT Aviation takes care of the screening of airfreight and airmail for customers at home and abroad. The screening can be carried out by a canine handler who, together with the canine handler, will examine shipments to determine whether they contain any concealed explosives. The use of detection dog teams is a reliable and efficient means of tracing explosives. Larger air cargo consignments no longer need to be checked manually, but can be efficiently investigated by a detection dog.

X-Ray Control

PMT Aviation checks airfreight for leading customers, on different locations throughout the Netherlands, by means of X-Ray equipment (also called X-ray inspection). With X-Ray inspection it is possible to scan the cargo from different angles for the presence of explosives or other abnormal objects.

If our X-Ray Inspector finds no abnormalities, a safety statement is issued and the cargo can be transported safely. PMT Aviation has a large pool of expert and professional X-Ray inspectors who have all been educated and trained in accordance with international regulations.

Object security

The PMT Aviation object security officers are available 24 hours a day to guarantee the safety of your company or warehouse. The PMT Aviation security officers are broadly deployable and carry out activities specifically geared to the wishes of the client. This includes carrying out entrance and exit checks, checking incoming and outgoing cargo, receiving and registering visitors and working with CCTV. Our security guards are professional, work customer-oriented and are hospitable.
